Ahh, the Air Jordan 1 Retro High Chicago! One of my favorite Jordan 1 colorways and highly popular – although not this particular pair! Another version of this exact same shoe retro’d in the “OG” form with Nike Air on the tongue, making this “Jumpman” version a lot less desirable among collectors.
These are of course an OG colorway that has been retro’d a few times. This particular version is from 2013 and I grabbed a pair as soon as they came out to make sure I had this colorway in the collection.
These look great with just about anything. While I normally wouldn’t go out of my way to match the red on the shoe, these aren’t so red that a match would look garish. These work with black, neutral or USA-themed fits but can also work with khakis or pretty much any other combination.
I’m a big fan of AJ1s and the Air Jordan 1 Retro High Chicago is a classic colorway that I couldn’t miss! Personally, I don’t care what’s on the tongue!
How Are The Materials?
The entire upper is a nice thick synthetic leather. These are actually fairly high quality despite not having the eye-catching texturing of some of the Nike Air-branded releases. If you can get down with thick smooth leather you will definitely be pleasantly surprised with these.
How Do They Fit?
The Air Jordan 1 Retro High Chicago is definitely not uncomfortable but also not the most comfy shoe in the world either. True to size is key here, or even a half size up. I would avoid sizing down on these!
